F1 Academy the presentation

The F1 Academy, created in November 2022 by the Formula One Group, is a championship exclusively dedicated to female drivers using Formula 4 single-seaters. Since its inception, the F1 Academy has experienced several significant moments worth highlighting.

Creation and Objectives

The F1 Academy was launched with the goal of facilitating the transition of female drivers from karting to single-seaters and preparing them to progress to higher levels of competition. This championship aims to promote diversity and inclusion in motorsport by providing young women with a platform to develop their skills and gain recognition.

Inaugural Season and First Champion

The inaugural season of the F1 Academy took place in 2023. Marta García Lopez, a driver for the Prema Racing team, was crowned champion of this first edition. Her success marked a turning point in the history of the F1 Academy and inspired many young drivers to follow in her footsteps.
